The Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health, Inc. is a non-profit charitable foundation established in 2001 by Blue Cross of Idaho. The creation of the Foundation stemmed from the desire to positively impact the health of all Idahoans through wellness and prevention programs.
The Foundation promotes and encourages the health of all Idahoans through collaborative partnerships, health programs and community giving.
The Foundation is actively committed to addressing the health needs of Idahoans and is working hard to promote a healthier Idaho.
The Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health is an independent licensee of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association and serves the state of Idaho. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization.
Childhood Obesity Prevention Grants
The Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health will award $157,281 in grants to programs aimed at reversing the obesity epidemic among children in Idaho.
The grants to nine organizations range from $12,000 to $20,000 and include funding for programs dedicated to supporting community gardens and helping obese children through intensive lifestyle changes. Read more.
